To be specific, open up Finder > Applications folder, locate McAfee icon, right click on it and choose Move to Trash. The standard uninstall method for macOS is to delete the app in the /Applications folder and then delete it again in the Trash. To be more specific, type McAfee in the search box, select the process that contains the keyword, click the Quit (X) icon on the upper left corner, and click Quit in the pop-up dialog. If the app icon stays (which means it does not quit yet), you can launch Activity Monitor (located in /Applications/Utilities folder) to kill its process(es). So if McAfee is open and shows itself in the right side of the Menu Bar, click the McAfee for Mac and choose Quit McAfee for Mac. Normally before executing the uninstall, we are supposed firstly to shut down the target app that is currently running. Have no idea how to fully uninstall McAfee from your Mac?
